Windows 10: Looking for screen video recorder willing to pay for quality

Hi. I would like to record my desktop into a video. When searching Google, I get spammy links and suspicious looking websites. I have a need for 4K video and one that runs at 30FPS. I don't need audio. I will be editing the files in Adobe Premiere. Suggestions on software that has a good reputation and contains no adware or other software bundled in. 64 bit is preferred, but not a deal breaker.

I searched this sub-forum and the search results were a miss. Suggestions welcomed.

to buy N96 , N85 or N82

The N82 has the best camera by a long way because of it's xenon flash. It's video and audio quality are good too.

The N96 & N85 have similar cameras and similar video quality. Both can record video in the dark thanks to a video light (N82 can't do this).

The N82 & N85 have similar audio quality but the N96 has the best out of them all.

The N82 is the fastest phone followed by the N85 and N96.

The N85 has the nicest looking screen and the best battery life. The N96 has the biggest screen and the worst battery life.

So you need to decide which of these features are more important to you.

Have you tried recording a video with a reduced quality, not 'TV quality'? Does the problem occur with lower quality video recording? If it is, it has to be a hardware problem..and bring out the warranty. =/

I'm trying both SnagIt and Camtasia. I already have Adobe Premiere. But I downloaded the free trial versions of those two programs. I'll spend some time evaluating them. Thanks for the suggestion.

I'm thinking of going with SnagIt . Thanks for suggesting though.

 

I use http://www.any-video-recorder.com/ to record videos I watch on my PC via netflix. Works great.

 

This is just for making howto videos on how to do things in Windows for my family and to remind myself on how I did things.

 

It will record anything on the screen. You setup a record area and click the record button. I got it to record a movie at a decent quality and it worked just great.

It's simple and there's really no setup, install and use. Should be a viable option for you.

I use the free edition of ActivePresenter for this job [video capture] . This works in both Windows 7 & Windows 10 to record video and audio [or just audio on its own if required].
- I have never picked up any malware from their site.
- I do not know if your system specs affect its suitability.

I do not know if there is anything suitable in the Windows store because I do not use the Store.

I generally edit videos with VideoReDo but I can also use ActivePresenter's editing capabilities to trim out any unwanted bits at the start & end - I click in the timeline itself rather than the waveform display and then drag around the start-end markers that appear.
