Windows 10: Looking for specific version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)...

Hello! I'm requesting an answer directly from Microsoft with a direct link to a download for this pkg:


Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) 9.0.30729


I am running an old version of Dreamweaver CS3 that worked on my Win 10 system up until a few weeks ago.

I do not have this pkg installed on my Win 10 system.


I DO have this pkg Installed on my Win 8.1 system and DW works fine.


Pls advise.

Try this.

Uninstall all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributables both x86 and x64 versions.
Install OpenOffice 4.1.6.
Uninstall any versions 2008 redistributables installed after verifying the program works.
Find and install the latest versions 2008 redistributables both x86 and x64 versions.
Verify OpenOffice 4.1.6 still works.

This error may occur when the Microsoft Visual C++ is not compatible with 10.

I suggest you to uninstall any existing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package to check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

Step 1: Uninstall the exiting Microsoft Visual C++.

a) Press Windows key + x key and select Programs and Features.

b) Right click on the Microsoft Visual C++ and uninstall it.

Step 2: Download the latest Microsoft Visual C++ and install it.
