  1. Looking for usage monitoring applications

Since the time sense app on windows 10 is very much broken, I was looking to find some applications that could track my daily screen on time, how much time I spend on what apps, how much wifi data I used, etc basically all this information that I can monitor daily. Any suggestion for low power apps that don't use much ram/battery and are trustworthy? Thanks in advance!

  2. Unknown Constant RAM Usage

    Hi,

To explore more on RAM usage by processes and see in-depth I advise you to open the Resource monitor, please follow the below steps.

    Step 1 :

    Open Task Manager

    Step 2:

    Click on Performance

    Step 3:

At the bottom click on Open Resource Monitor

    Step 4:

Under Resource Monitor windows click on Memory

    Step 5:

Click on Working Set to list the top process utilizing the more RAM and then evaluate RAM usage.

    excesive data usage on HD7

    Hello neg_serye:

Thank you for posting to the forum. There are a few things that may be leading to the unknown data usage. Please make some of the following changes and monitor for data usage.

There are several things you can do to minimize the data usage on your phone. Please check out this article for tips to minimize your data usage,

    http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/How-to/wp7/basics/how-can-i-minimize-my-data-usage
    .

    • Turn on battery saver.
    • Change your email sync settings to manual.
    • Turn off your Cellular data connection and use Wi-Fi.
Another thing you may want to monitor is your applications. Try some of the followig to minimize the data usage by application on your phone:

    • Go to settings > applications > background tasks > verify that you do not have applications listed here. If you do, turn off one or all of them and monitor your data usage.
    • Go to any of the apps you have set up as Live tiles and check your settings. If you have automatic updates or notifications enable, try turning this off and monitoring your data usage.
    • You may even want to start uninstalling applications from your phone all together and monitoring your data usage. You can see a list of the downloaded applications by siging into
www.windowsphone.com and going to purchase history. This will allow you to push the apps back to the phone after you have completed your investigation.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

    Looking for usage monitoring applications

    How to monitor/log registry usage?

I'd strongly suggest Sysinternals portable freeware apps..
SysInternals Process Monitor can monitor running application activity in real-time, it's more than your average windows file/registry activity snooper, and very well documented aswell.
Incase you are looking to find information on apps with some 3rd party protection, many protections are aware of Process Monitor,, *Wink
On Mitec site you find a lot of interesting stuff for security and activity logging..

Personally, I use Total Uninstall Professional by Martau, which is shareware application, it's probably the best application installation tracer I have ever used, and you can export all registry/file changes made by an application installation.
Actually, it seems Martau has instructions on doing what you're looking for, with Total Uninstall ...
There exists some very old freeware version of Total Uninstall, you can find it on raymond.cc -blog along with a list of other similar applications.
Hope this helps. Looking for usage monitoring applications :)
