Windows 10: LOOPBACK RECORDING ONLY OPTION -/ WINDOWS UPDATES???

hello! Last months when im trying to record from my sound card SSL 2+ internal rec sometimes an error is happening on the available devices for recording and the only input option is the sound card on LOOPBACK mode. As you know loopback cant work like that. Everytime this was happening in the past i used to download new drivers for the soundcard or delete Audacity and download it again. So somehow the problem was fixed. Two days now im trying to record doing all the steps that I do everytime and it doesnt record! So I tried to record from another laptop and everything was working perfectly

From that point I understood that theres nothing to do with the soundcard or drivers etc because in another (15 years old laptop) everything was working perfectly. Do you think that windows 11 and my lapotp can have the issue? (lenovo idea pad 3)

 

Can't install Loopback Adapter after last windows 10 update

If you're having issue installing MS KM-TEST Loopback Adapter, we suggest performing the manual methodas explained in the steps provided below:

• Click the Start Menu. In the search box type “hdwwiz” and then click the hdwwize.exe program link.
• Now the Add Hardware wizard should be open. Click next through the first page, and then on the second select install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced). Click next to continue.
• Scroll down the list and Select Network Adapters then Click Next.
• Give the next window a moment to load, and then Click Microsoft and Select Microsoft KM test Loopback Adapter.

Now the Microsoft KM test Loopback Adapter should be installed and it will show up in your network connections window.
