Windows 10: Lose bluetooth connectivity very frequently after sleep mode

Approximately every 5th or sixth time my desktop goes into sleep mode, (either automatically based on power option settings or by clicking "sleep"), the Bluetooth internet connection is lost. I do not have a wired connection. It can sometimes be corrected by putting the computer to sleep, but more usually a reboot is needed. The Bluetooth signal is strong, am only 5 feet from router.

How can I troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance for your interest and help. Regards. Michael.

DELL XPS 17 L702X loses bluetooth connection

I upgraded to Windows 10 on my DELL XPS 17 L702X

Everything works except the Microsoft 5000 Bluetooth mouse loses Bluetooth connection when in sleep mode, restart and power down.

Bluetooth will not connect when the PC wakes up from sleep on Windows 10.

You mentioned that Bluetooth isn't working only if the computer have just been activated after sleep. To further isolate the issue, we suggest that you turn off hibernation. Follow this step by step instructions:

• Right click on the Start Menu button, and choose Command Prompt (Admin)
• Enter the following line: powercfg /h off
• Press Enter.
