Windows 10: Lose Internet due to bad IP address after waking up from sleep

Hello,Whenever my desktop goes to sleep, it invariably loses internet connection due to bad IP configuration. My Wi-Fi works for all other devices in the house. Resetting the router generally resolves the problem, but I need a permanent fix that does not negatively impact the other people in my house who may be using the WiFi.

IP Address is BAD

That particular blacklist is used more for Spam blocking that general Internet access, but could be the problem. I suggest you try to have "N-Insurance company" clarify what they mean by "your IP address is a bad one," specifically whether they are checking
a blacklist.

If it is a blacklist issue, it will be difficult to address. Note that it is difficult to impossible to get your ISP to change a dynamically assigned IP address (as is used by most home users). Your ISP would have to address the problem with the lister.

 

IP Address.

Hello,

I can not find my IP Address.

Also,I can not find the Ethernet Connection on my Taskbar.

I have found my Internet Access icon on my Taskbar.

Please list the steps needed to find my IP Address.

I found "Network & Internet",in "Setting",

I then found a link,"Finding my IP Address,(Under "Have a Question?")

But,this link did not help me find my IP Address.

Lose Internet Connection after PC Sleeps

Hi Barbara,

To assist you with the issue, kindly follow the steps below:

Step 1. Checking network connection.

• Let your computer sleep and wake it up.
• Once you see that there is no connection, right click on the Network connection.
• Choose Troubleshoot problems.

Get the details of the error and capture the message that will prompt on your screen. It will automatically fix and reset your TCP/IP configuration

Step 2. Running SCF scan.

• Press Win+X on your keyboard.
• Choose Command prompt (admin).
• Type the command sfc /scannow.

Get the details of the scan.
