    Loss of Admin rights


    Hello all,


    This has been covered before in various places in the past, but I am unable to come up with a fix for myself no longer being an administrator, even though I am the owner/user/administrator of my pc. Every time I try to access some of the admin parts of the pc for instance device manager I get the following message. Under user accounts I am still showing as the administrator but I don't have any control. If anyone has any thoughts I would be grateful.Loss of Admin rights [​IMG]

    Loss of admin rights

    enable built-in administrator account, and then create new admin account with admin rights, afterwards disable the builtin administrator account. next step download the media creator tool

    admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

    Hi guys,

    I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
    I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

    Any suggestions?

    EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.

    You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.
