Windows 10: Loss of bluetooth functionality after 20H2 update

Running a Windows 10 ASUS ROG laptop, latest 20H2 and security updates just came through this morning and now my Logitech mouse and UEBOOM bluetooth speaker will not connect / work.


If I click the mouse buttons a couple of times it changes from paired to connected for a few seconds then back to paired, if I click on connect for the speaker it shows 'Connecting' for a few seconds then changes back to paired.


My bluetooth keyboard Logitech does connect and work, though when I try to connect the mouse it kicks off the keyboard for a few seconds then it comes back.


I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the speaker and mouse, no go. I have tried uninstalling the updates, tried rolled back to a restore point prior to the update, no change either. At a loss where to go next.


Any hints?

Bluetooth Functionality Loss

Thanks for the response.

I have tried almost every Bluetooth solution I could find including those within the link provided, but they did not restore the Bluetooth functionality. However, there was a recent (what I assume to be new) Windows update last Friday. Upon installing the
update today (Monday) the Bluetooth has been restored. I'm not sure what might have caused this now temporary loss of functionality, as I do not believe I installed/uninstalled anything close to the timing of the issue.

 

20H2 - no bluetooth?

I'm Jin, a fellow Windows 10 user and an independent advisor. I can see your device's Bluetooth has disappeared.

The most common and best way to resolve this is by visiting your device's manufacturer website and download the latest Bluetooth driver. Once downloaded, have it installed and check if it's going to work properly.

You can also start troubleshooting the Bluetooth via Device Manager.

1. Press Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc then hit Enter.

2. Click on Bluetooth.

2. Right-click on the Bluetooth driver.

3. Select Update this driver.

If updating doesn't help, click on uninstall this driver instead. Then restart your device and go back to Device Manager. Right-click on Bluetooth then select scan for hardware changes. It should automatically detect the Bluetooth driver and reinstall it.

Since the issue appeared after installing an 20H2, please consider rolling back the update:

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type control panel, and then choose it from the list of results

2. In the Control Panel search box, type recovery.

3. Select Recovery > Open System Restore.

4. In the Restore system files and setting box, select Next.

20H2 - no bluetooth?

When 20H2 was installed, my bluetooth disappeared. It shows up in devices,. I have uninstalled the drivers, and re-installed. Any help is appreciated.
