Windows 10: Loss of internet connection between approximately 3 pm to 8 pm Central time

This problem has developed over the last week. For some weeks I would lose my internet connection briefly at any time of day. The connection would quickly reset and all would be well. Recently though, I am unable to re connect at all when the connection is lost during the 3 - 8 pm approximately time frame. Resetting the modem and router and restarting the computer does not help the problem.


There have been no hardware changes since I added the ASUS RT-N300 router which is wired to the modem in 3/19.


My ISP Spectrum claims that the problem isn't in their part which includes the modem


The error message I get from the internet connection troubleshooter is: Windows could not automatically detect the server proxy settings.


The messages I get from the network troubleshooter are: "Ethernet" doesn't have a valid IP address. ANDThe default gateway is not available.


The same problems occur when I remove the router and connect the ethernet cable directly to the modem.


I hope someone can offer some suggestions.

AM/PM For The Time At The Lock Screen


You can change the time format, how time is shown on Windows notification area freely but AM / PM is regardless of your settings never shown in Windows Clock and lock screen if 24 hour clock has been selected.

To change how time is shown on Windows desktop, select Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Region, click Additional settings:





Now change time formats manually typing any of the following values for short time. Add :ss for long time for seconds:

Here I have selected 24 hour clock with AM / PM, but it's only shown in notification area. Opening clock does not show AM / PM, nor does lock screen, whatever settings I have chosen as long as I am using 24 hour clock:





Using 12 hour clock AM / PM is always shown in Clock and lock screen if selected.

Hello, I like seeing AM/PM on any time value. I already know if it's AM or PM, but it looks more Proper to see the AM or the PM with whatever time it is.

What Registry modification/Program can help me achieve this?

Help with am/pm

I don't understand what you're trying to do.

Are you trying to enter am or pm when entering a time, or do you want to switch to 24-hour time format and do away with am and pm altogether?
