    Loss of tile icons on the Start page after the first October 2020 update


    I have lost the tile icons/logos on my Start page after the above "upgrade". What I get now for most tiles is a black square with a first letter of the link of that tile, followed in some cases by number 1. 2 or 3. When I look into Programs and Settings in the Control Panel, instead of just the one screen of programs I used to have I now have 4 screens, with many duplicates , marked 1,2,3 or 4 - hence the numbers on the tiles I presume. Deleting one of the duplicates seems to get rid of all the others too.


    I have contacted Microsoft on line chat help, but did not get anywhere. The agent I was in contact with simply pasted in links to a previous query and when I followed these my PC screen just went black and I had to reboot.


    Also, since that "update" I have lost some icons altogether am having problems with Adobe Acrobat documents.


    Any ideas anyone please ?


    Am I the only user having these problems?
