Windows 10: Lost ability to format &/or burn DVD RW Disk

    Lost ability to format &/or burn DVD RW Disk


    Wrote about this a few weeks ago but evidently posted question to wrong place, My problem is once again I am unbable to format & or burn DVD RW disk. While right clicking DVD it no longer show "format" or "burn" it was working OK around 1st week of February but went to use it last week & found ability disappeared. Last time this happened it was due to an update. Checked update history & tried to uninstall the one closest to when issue started but it won't let me uninstall it. I have Windows 10 Pro, latest version 21H2. HELP!

    DVD RW Drive E not recognizing formatted Verbatim DVD-R Disc

    My DVD RW Drive E does not recognize a formatted Verbatim DVD-R Disc that I am trying to burn.

    Any suggestions?

    DVD+RW burn problem

    As an additive to my previous post, I want to add this additional information to maybe help explain my problem further.

    I experimented burning songs to a CD-RW using Windows media player and the burn was successful.
    The songs will play in Windows Media Player and also on my DVD player.
    When I insert the DVD Drive, it recognizes the CD-RW disk but says it is empty.
    I then tried using a Verbatim DVD+RW disk. The songs were written to it but when I attempt to burn, near the end of the burn, I encounter the error "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while burning the file to the disc."

    Format DVD disk

    These are DVD-RW disks that I can format on my DVD player/recorder, but that is not recognized by Windows. I want to use the DVD disks for photo backup.
