Hello,Following a reset of my laptop, I no longer have access to Advanced Threat & Detection on my personal laptop. I can’t perform scans or take action to remediate possible issues. After the reset, I encountered a strange issue. Hello,

Following a reset of my laptop, I no longer have access to Advanced Threat & Detection on my personal laptop. I can’t perform scans or take action to remediate possible issues.

After the reset, I encountered a strange issue. After the first reset, I was asked to register my Surface with a work or school account. I assumed this was probably because I updated my license key with the one I received from my studies.

However, it didn’t allow me to proceed, and I had to register with my work account due to school policies. After registering my laptop with my work email, I performed another reset because I didn’t want my personal laptop to be managed by my organization.

Since that second reset, I’ve been able to create a local account and then register with my personal email. However, I no longer have access to the security features mentioned.

How can I fix this and regain full control over my Surface?

    Threats detected by Windows Defender

If you really want to be sure if those threats are removed completely then I would suggest to clean install Windows. That’s the only way to know for sure. And always disconnect from the internet next time you encounter malware. That’s the first step to take, especially if you have more than one computer sharing the same network.
