Windows 10: Lost Admin Privileges After Most Recent Windows 10 Update 2/13~

So as the title indicates, after the most recent Windows update that I downloaded on 2/13 I've been unable to access anything as an admin. My account in users has the Administrator tag still. I am the only account on the computer. I've gotten a popup twice that indicates I am not connecting to a windows service that authorizes admin accounts. Files that I have been rejected from opening indicate that all users have permission to access them. Whenever I am rejected access to a file it takes 5-10 minutes for the dialog box to pop up to indicate it.

I am also unable to create a local account on my PC. I can write in a username/password/security questions but then after hitting next eventually it times out and most of the dialog box goes white.


I am unable to boot into safe mode. When I've attempted on two different occasions, my PC powers down, turns on, but my monitors will display nothing.


I am unable to access recovery tools to make backups of my PC. I am unable to uninstall the most recent widows patches, I attempt to uninstall and nothing occurs, no pop up, nothing to indicate any type of process occurring. I am unable to access registry editor or run command prompt as admin.


I am out of ideas and have not found anything like my case in other forums.

Administrative Privileges lost on my Windows 10 pc

I returned from a business trip and I have lost all administrative privileges to my windows 10 p

Not sure if it was hacked or the kids did it but all administrative privileges have been lost none the less.

Step one, I reviewed all the information online on windows 8 and windows 10 similar situations.

I tried them all, I have zero privileges to do any of them. I can not create a new account to add admin privileges to.

I can not enable a hidden admin account to work with. I can not use command prompt to do anything related to admin privileges.

I'm basically locked out of all programs dealing with administrative privileges. A app recently failed, and I had to download it again unfortunately, can download it without administrative privileges.

Step two, accept that I can not do this alone and reach out to the community for help.

Boot the system using Windows 10 isntallation media, and then perform the steps listed under Option #2 here.

Option 1 might work as well, if the administrator password was changed as of recent.
