    Lost admin rights.


    I recently lost admin right on my laptop. What is I have two accounts on my laptop and my brothers account was the original admin. We are currently learning to use docker in class so i needed admin rights in order use docker so i gave them to myself and removed them from my brothers account. what I wanted wasn't working so I removed the rights from my account. I didn't occur to me the extend of my actions until my laptop started acting up. and that day I had a test and you can my destress when docker was acting up because of this. I've tried everything from safe mode to creating an admin acco

    admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

    Hi guys,

    I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
    I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

    Any suggestions?

    EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.
