    Lost Admin Rights


    Hi,


    I recently followed a youtube video and stupidly deleted my admin rights. I have the upgrade version of win 10 and so don't have a disk.

    Most of the ways to recover admin rights seem to involve creating a new profile, and deleting the old one. I have no problem doing this, but I am wondering what happens to my microsoft account.


    I installed a new ssd hard drive a while ago, and had to register my account to be able to reinstall win 10 again.

    My question is, if I create a new admin account, will I be able to still reinstall win 10 in the future should I need to.


    I tried to create an account using the same email, but it wouldn't let me, so I'm guessing that if I try to reinstall windows with the new account, it will tell me that I'm not the account holder for the download.

    admin rights keep disappearing!?!!

    Hi guys,

    I am actually having a problem at work that our IT department hasn't been able to figure out. I am supposed to be a member of the admin group. We are on a domain. The problem is that everytime I reboot the computer I loose my admin rights(no longer in the administrator group) and just become a normal user again. I have tried googling this and didn't get to many results.
    I believe IT is just giving me local admin rights, not admin rights for the whole domain.

    Any suggestions?

    EDIT: It is on Windows XP Pro.
