Windows 10: Lost audio :(

I have an HP desk top all-in-one with windows 10 installed. It has stopped producing sound. I've run the trouble shooting program and tried everything suggested I could find on-line. In all but one case I get a "working properly" response. Under Realtek High Def. Audio Properties (events) information I find this:

Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0225&SUBSYS_103C838B&REV_1000\4&27c382f2&0&0001 requires further installation. Could this be the problem? How do I fix it?

• Select Recording Audio.

Audio not working

No audio device is installed (How to fix?)


Since you uninstalled the Intel Display audio and you no longer have audio, that suggests you are using HDMI (??) If this is the case then the Realtek is not being used and not causing your problem.

First step as mentioned is to reinstall the Intel Display Audio.
