Windows 10: Lost data during transfer from phone to pc

Good day. I tried transferring my albums from my android samsung s22 ultra to windows 11 via usb. I cut the folders and pasted and somehow it did not transfer but now the images folders/albums are not on my phone or on my computer. Please advise how I can go about recovering these albums. Thank you.

Transferring data from phone to computer

Once I attached the phone to the computer via USB, and set it up for file access/transfer, I can see it in my list of hard drives.

I simply click on the hard drive entry for the phone to open the contents, navigate to the folder, and copy files off.

 

Transfer my data loses connection

I am trying to transfer data from old phone "Samsung S3600" to my Lumia 920 with the "Transfer my Data" app. (version 6.0.5.0)

The app connects to the old phone and shows that there a 300 messages to transfer.

When I start the transfer the connection is lost and a message "No connection" shows.



Any suggestions?

• What type of data did you transfer?
• Did you transfer the data directly to SD card or phone storage?
