Windows 10: Lost/deleted Screenshots folder - please help locate!

Hi!I wanted to move my screenshots folder from my C: drive to my HDD M: .I went into properties and moved my screenshots to the HDD, however didn't realise that I had to move it to another folder, as it started dumping new screenshots into the bare HDD, not into a folder. So I thought if I formatted and deleted the drive it's a new drive so nothing else on it it would automatically start sending new screenshots back to the C: folder and then I could repeat the process after reallocating the HDD. This however has not worked and now screenshots do not go to the C: or the HDD, basically I do no

Thanks for the suggestion but it says "delete folder failed for E:\....." for each folder I try.

Ok so when I click on the win+printscreen, it's supposed to take a screenshot. The screen dims as if a screenshot has been taken. When I go to the screenshots folder...the screenshot is NOT there. It is also not ANYWHERE. It's not saved in screenshots, it's not saved in pictures, it's not in any other folders...the screenshot simply does not seem to exist anywhere.

I followed your directions. So first I went to regedit and I found the screenshot folder following your directions. I changed the path to be straight to the screenshot folder and not a specific folder w/in it.





The my pictures folder is there. Seems to be fine.

I exited the regedit, tried win+printscreen again and again...the screen dimmed as if a screenshot is being taken. But no screenshot appears.

I tried to follow that tutorial but there is no location tab in my screenshots properties




I'm really not good at this and am just completely lost.

but the screenshot that I took was not listed where is was supposed to be (in Recents).

tells me to click on the screenshots folder, but as you know I don't have that folder.

NOTE:

When I click the Windows key plus PrntScr, the screen does NOT dim. Instead, the "Start" menu appears.

So I think that that key combination is not saving the screenshot at all, anywhere. That would explain why there is nothing on the clipboard.

Do you have any suggestions for verifying that the Windows key plus PrntScr is taking the screenshot?
