Windows 10: Lost files after temp profile fix

Hi, I just came across Windows 10 temp profile problem. When I was in the Temp profile, I can see that the files in my original profile are intact. And then I did the recommended fix by removing bak after the original profile SID in registry, after that I can login back my original profile. But here comes the major issue, all my files in my original profile are gone now after successful logging back in the profile!! It is like Windows deleted my old profile and created a brand new profile with emptiness!

Hi..

I am facing the problem of temp profile login. I followed few steps stated in the websites like removing .bak from your SID. but it doesn't work. Still my profile is logging in to temp profile.

Please do suggest some solution

Lost files in temporary profile

If a Temp user isn't where I suggested then the temp profile isn't present. There could be temporary files in other temp folders though. c:\windows\temp (for example) but if you have used disk cleanup then I would have expected those to have been removed
already. Have you emptied your recycle bin.

When running disk cleanup then after the first pass scan select system files and look down the list when the scan is complete.

 

Locked Out of User Profile AND System Keeps Creating Temp User Profiles - I Have 10 Temp Files Now!

Yesterday, I was trying to share a folder with another user and inadvertently did something incorrect to my own user profile. As a result, I am now locked out of my user profile, I cannot find ANY of my files/folders (they are all showing empty). Every time I log in I get the message "We can't sign into your account" and each time a TEMP Account is created I am now up to 10 Temp profiles.

I have searched online for 2 days trying to find help I have tried these multiple times:

• Safe Mode
  
• Created a Test Account Profile (still no access files/folders) - shows "empty" on C:
  
• Removed BitDefender Anti-Virus
  
• Disabled Microsoft Defender Anti-Virus
  
• Tried whoamI CMD found SID
  
• Registry Fix - multiple times; This is where I am stumped.
  
  • I can only access from temp profile - which one is valid?
    
  • should I delete the temp profiles? If so which ones?
    
  • I tried to delete one and it seemed quite large (15,000 files - but nothing I can open)
    

I have no idea where to go from here - I've watched videos and followed several suggestions but none of them addressed both issues with being locked out of user profile AND multiple TEMP users being created.

I desperately need to recover my user profile -more than anything I need ALL my files! Please HELP!
