  1. Lost folder: Very strange behavoiur after blue screen

    Hi,

My daughter experinced the very strange phenomenon:

    1. There was a blue screen of death

    2. When it booted back and she logged in she does not find anything on the desktop. It seemed like a fresh new user account. But under C:/User/Desktop everything was there.

    3. So accidently she moved an important folder from the C:/User/Dektop to this "clean" Desktop.

    4. At the end when she wanted to logged out the Windows refreshed itself thus it rebooted

    5. When she logged in again everything was there on the Desktop like before the blue screen except that important folder she move to the Desktop at step 3. above.

    6. And this folder is nowhere, it is not hidden, not in the trash, cannot find it although it is a very big folder mutiplyG. And there is no other user on the laptop the other one is the Public, but that is empty

    Any hint?

    Thanks

    Zoltan

    :)

    Folder in Favorites lost

Had a folder in IE favorites named xxxxx favorites with many items in it. Don't know what I may have done but it is gone from the list. When I try to create a new folder it tells me that there is one already there, but it is not. Any suggestion where I might find the lost folder or how to restore it.

    • Software/Security conflicts

We would like to know some information:

    • Did you get any blue screen stop error codes?
