Windows 10: Lost Minecraft Dungeons Character Recovery Solution

To everyone who lost or think they lost their MC Dungeons character, I may be of help. Caveat: I just started playing this game a week ago so I don't know how many times this game got updated, so this is my suggestion as of today.

This is where your character gets saved.


C:\Users\your name\Saved games\Mojang Studios\Dungeons\long alpha numeric folder\Characters


Open this folder and your character is the dat file. Pay attention to the date time stamp. That was when you last played the game.


If you uninstalled and reinstalled the game, you may have two long alpha numeric folder. This is where your character is saved. Compare the date time stamp of the dat files. Move the older dat file to the newer folder because the reinstall created a link to that new folder. Restart the game and you should see your old character come back to life with all your loot and even stuff you may have left with the Blacksmith.

Minecraft Dungeons lost my character.

Today suddenly my character in Minecraft Dungeons are gone.

I haven't reinstalled or nothing.

How can I get my character back?

Is no point playing a game like this if it randomly can reset like this.

so i started minecraft dungeons up after like 5h right and it's making me choose another character i lost everything i was level 100+

this game is fun but now hate HATE it so so so much I don't remember what level I was but I was about to complete highblock halls and I just found the secret in soggy swamp to unlock soggy cave but it just deleted my character the next day I was doing so
well in the game. DONT DOWNLOAD MINECRAFT DUNGEON!!!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY
