Windows 10: Lost my Microsoft Edge Favorites although spartan.edb is 8mb

    Lost my Microsoft Edge Favorites although spartan.edb is 8mb


    I have no idea when they were lost. I started Edge today to go to a specific site I have bookmarked and all I have is Favorites with no other bookmarks.

    However, when I go to

    Microsoft Edge Bookmarks not showing up in File Manager

    The Edge favorites are now found in %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\DataStore\Data\nouser1\120712-0049\DBStore\Spartan.edb.

    You will not see the individual bookmarks, but they are all contained in spartan.edb.

    While I don't know of a Spartan tool have you tried another browser?

    Here are the instruction on how to import them to Firefox. From there you can then determine next step. Maybe even try Importing them back into Edge.

    Edge has same, If you have favorites on IE11, you can import from it.
