Windows 10: Lost the ability to print to both HP large format printers since June 9 update

We lost the ability to print to both HP large format printers since Tuesday's update.

I tried uninstalling print drivers and software etc.


Both printers are connected via TCP/IP printer ports. All seems normal except when a job is sent

the spool indicator show busy for a second then nothing....


PLEASE help.

Printing error to large format printer on network.

We have a large format printer (HP Designjet T2550) on our network. Since we received an update to Windows 10, all Windows 10 machine receive an error (there was an error creating the print job.\n6). All our Windows 7 machine are fine. This is just the Windows
10 machines.

Is there a solution for fixing this?

 

HP Acquires NUR Macroprinters

HP yesterday announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire NUR Macroprinters Ltd., a manufacturer of industrial wide-format digital inkjet printers. Based in Lod, Israel, NUR is a leading supplier of UV-curable and solvent inkjet printers for display graphics, serving commercial printing companies, sign printers, screen printers, billboard and media companies, photo labs and digital print service providers.


The acquisition expands HP’s Graphic Arts portfolio of digital presses and wide-format printers and furthers HP’s Print 2.0 strategy to digitize analog prints by extending the company’s overall digital content creation and publishing platform. With the acquisition, HP will be able to offer additional midrange UV platforms and technologies.

“This acquisition marks another milestone in HP’s growth strategy to ignite the transition from converting analog pages to digital pages,” said Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president, Imaging and Printing Group, HP. “The large-format print service provider market is growing rapidly, and with the acquisition of NUR, HP is strategically building an even stronger portfolio of products and will continue to drive innovation and growth with our industrial wide-format printers.”

“The combination of HP and NUR will provide our customers and channel partners with a vastly expanded mix of quality and service that is unmatched in the digital graphics printing industry,” said David Reis, chief executive officer, NUR Macroprinters Ltd.

HP’s acquisition of NUR is another step in HP’s Graphic Arts strategy to broaden the portfolio of digital presses and wide-format printers. In September 2007, HP announced the acquisition of MacDermid ColorSpan Inc., a manufacturer of wide-format digital inkjet printers and a key supplier to sign shop franchises, quick printers and other small to midsize sign-making and screen-printing businesses.

HP will be acquiring substantially all the assets of NUR for $117.5 million. Of this amount, $14.5 million will be held in an indemnity escrow account.

The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions. Upon completion of the deal, NUR will be integrated into HP’s Large Format Printing Business within the company’s Imaging and Printing Group.

cannot print on network printer HP P1606DN

We can try the following ways to troubleshoot or resolve the issue:

First check the IP address of the printer? If it is consistent with the IP address we pinged?

1. If it is an IP address automatically assigned by the DHCP Server, this IP address may change. If it is not consistent with the IP address we pinged, the IP address of the printer is changed, we need to change the IP address of the network printer.
   
2. If it is consistent with the IP address we pinged. Then we turn off the network printer and ping its IP address, it should be not ping normally. If we can ping its IP address, it means that other devices on the network are using this IP address.Then we need to view the real IP of the network printer.
   
3. All of the above checks, after determining the IP address of the printer, and we can ping this IP address. If we still can't print now, delete the printer on our computer and re-add this network printer according to the printer's instructions.
   

We also need to go to the HP official website to download the printer driver of this model, and then install the network printer.

How to change IP address of printer

Step one:Installing wired network driver

Method 1:

The HP Smart Install driver, only Windows system supports this type of installation.
Check the IP Address on the configuration page. On the computer to install the product, open the Web browser. In the browser's address line, type the IP address of the product.
Click the tag of HP Smart Install, and then click the Download button.Run the downloaded driver and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation process.

Method 2:

Use random CD to install driver.Insert the software installation CD into the computer CD driver.If the installation program is not automatically opened, please browse the contents of CD SETUP.EXE and run the file. Set up products and install software according to the instructions on the screen.

Note: ensure that when prompted, select "configure to print through the network".

Step two: configure the network settings

Use the embedded Web server to view or change the configuration settings of IP.
The specific steps are as follows: look at the configuration page and find the address IP. If you use IPv4, then the IP address contains only numbers.The format is: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx . If you use IPv6, then the IP address is a combination of sixteen character characters and numbers. Its format is similar to: xxxx:: xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx .
To open the embedded Web server, type product IP address in the Web browser address line. Click Networking or other tabs to get network information. You can change the settings as required.
