Windows 10: Lost the ability to trim videos in Windows 11

Hi. I’m running Windows 11. In both photos and media player I have completely lost the ability to trim videos. Now the only thing I’m offered is to “Edit with ClipChamp,” which is absolutely not something I’m going to download to be able to perform a basic video crop. What’s the issue here and why was this feature removed?

Losing sound on Video Editor when undertaking a trim

Microsoft Photos now has a new video editor. Previously I could trim a video by a simple process and all was well with the trimmed version. Now I find that I have lost the sound when I undertake a trim using the new video editor; there is good sound on the untrimmed MP4 file . What steps am I missing please?

• What is the name of the application used when capturing videos?
• Is it happening to all the videos that you captured?
• What video player are you using to watch this video file?

Upgraded to windows 11. Now I can't trim my videos. The application crashes. Is there any update for a patch?

I've always used the trim feature on my videos, and it has worked perfectly. I upgraded to Windows 11 Wednesday night and now when I try to trim a video it will let me cut left to right but when I try to cut from right to left, it shuts down. Any suggestions would be fantastic.
