Windows 10: Lost Windows 10 after the power went out in a bad storm

    Lost Windows 10 after the power went out in a bad storm


    I downloaded and installed Windows 10 free back in2017 or so. After a bad storm the power went out and I lost 10. How do I find it on my computer (desktop)? It has 7 now.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Lost Power, now PC won't boot. Powers on and clicks.


    I had tried both of those steps. Neither worked. I have a replacement power supply on order. Should be here on Monday. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Lost Power, now PC won't boot. Powers on and clicks.


    Hope for sure it is the Power Supply without testing it and the checking the Graphics Card.
