Windows 10: Lost Windows 10 Key. Motherboard changed.

I changed out my mother board in my PC during the summer. I lost my Key in the process of doing so. I've slowly been working on how to get it back and I've resulted in coming here as my last resort. I really don't want to pay the money for a key when I literally already bought one. I have the receipt, I have the emails, but when I go back to the link where I got my key the page has been since deleted. I always thought it was my PC just being a jerk but in reality it reset the code back to nothing and I never noticed. It's been quite a while now and I really hate the water mark. I already have everything from activating windows once like a background and other stuff but the water mark drives me insane and takes the realism out of gaming and recording. I've tried contacting support but they don't like talking to people and their virtual agent isn't helpful at all. Like I said. I have the receipt and emails I just need help getting it back.

Thanks but I don't want to do any decrypting. I want to download a Win 10 ISO from Microsoft and install it using my Win 8 key. No other steps required. Is that possible?

Please be informed that your copy of Windows 10 should get activated automatically after changing the motherboard (once you enter the linked Microsoft Account details). But if you face any issues,
I suggest you to go through Phone activation to activate your Windows 10 copy.



To run Phone activation please follow the steps below:

  Press Windows + R key.
  
• 
  Type slui 4 and hit enter.
  
• 
  Select the Country or
  Region.
  
• 
  Follow the on screen instructions.

Installing Windows 10 using Windows 7 key

Nope, you need to install Windows 10 first and make sure the Windows 7 key is transferred to your Windows account after you've installed Windows 10 (not quite sure how that works). I missed the last step and I could not activate Windows 10 after a re-install... Microsoft seem to have done everything they can to make it a PITA. Also, it's technically too late to do this now anyhow, as the upgrade offer has expired. But KMSPico works quite well...

As for getting rid of Windows, delete the Windows folder.
