Windows 10: Lots of Ram unusable

I recently put a new 8gb stick of ram in my computer. I wasn't accustomed to the process unfortunately, however when I got the computer to "show" the ram I checked via the about in settings on windows 10 it did say 11gb the number it was supposed to be however the usable amount was only around 2. Now, normally you could argue that that could be due to an error or something along those lines however, in this case my computer was able to use 4gb of ram just fine with around 3.75gb available. If it helps, I moved around 2 sticks both were 1gb and 1 of course was the 8gb one. Any help is appreciated.

This issue may arise due to:

• Opening multiple tabs at a time.
• Using add-on.
• Virus.
• Multiple internet explorer opens in Task manager.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and also check whether multiple Internet explorer process are running at the same time.

• Press Ctrl + Alt + Del
• Open Task manager.
• Click on Detail Tab.
• You will see MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe file.
• Right Click and End Task.
• Restart the computer.

If the issue persists, I suggest you to perform virus scan by using Windows Defender Offline Beta from the below link and check if it helps.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
