    Loud pop from Dell Inspiron laptop


    I have a Dell Inspiron 6th Gen laptop that for the last few days occasionally emits a loud 'pop' sound through speakers. System also running somewhat hotter than has normally run.

    Would not startup last night, on screen display advised was not connected/could not recognize the connection source and battery would probably drain; and was prompted to run system scans which took over 6 hours. All tests passed, then I shut it down at 4AM.

    This morning, removed battery, wiped off, replaced and started up no problem. Ran all system scans and stress tests -- all OK/passed. Only issue is battery life not as good as when originally installed. Have only been using system for about a year, and always have it plugged in when using it.

    System 'popped' twice today when accessing an email/Outlook.

    Thoughts? Can a battery issue cause popping noise? Thanks all.

    Dell Inspiron 7537 Laptop & Creator's Upgrade

    My Dell Inspiron 15 7537 laptop hasn't been offered the update to the Creator's Update via Windows Update yet and it doesn't appear on Dell's upgrade list. Has anyone updated their Inspiron 7537 to the Creator's Update via the Media Creation Tool or ISO file and did you have any problems?

    DELL INSPIRON 3520

    when I had bought dell inspiron 3520, it came with windows 7 as the operating software. recently I upgraded to windows 10. The message that" Dell Stage requires windows 7" has started appearing after the upgrade.

    And won't my laptop hamper if I disable and reboot and follow the steps that you have mentioned. Please help.
