Windows 10: Low Amount of 'Total Physical Memory' compared to 'Installed Physical Memory RAM'

Hello, Today I lauched a Forza Horizon for the first time in a while and it crashed after just passing the initial start screen before loading into the game. After closing the game I attempted again to lauch, same issue although thistime my google chrome crashed with it. I decided to restart my PC and try again one last time, but after opening i was prompted with a message saying i didnt have the reccomended amount of minimum Ram so i didnt continue. I'd played this game a lot before so i opened System Information and noticed I only have a total amount of 2.0gb total physical memory. Above t

Installed physical RAM vs Total physical RAM

Hello everyone,

I tried to install 16 GB of RAM to my computer, instead of the initial 8 I had. But when I add the new RAM (in total 4x4 GB of RAM, and they are the same kind). the installed RAM increases to 16 but the total physical RAM hence the total usable RAM remains
8 GB.

I want to point out, I am NOT talking about available physical memory, but TOTAL, compared to installed.





(Sorry the system is not English, but this is a screenshot from System properties so the titles follow each other the same way.)

I have a 64-bit Win 10, so that is not the issue.

BIOS sees all four modules, and there is no indication that the GPU uses the extra memory.

Tried to change the paging file size, but didn't help.

I am at a loss. Especially because only appears over 8 GB of memory, no matter which module goes into which socket.

The avilable physical memory is much lower than my total physical memory ....

  I have a 8 GB PC running but when I open the task manger for example android studio is taking about 1.855 GB and it's written above that this is 80% of the memory ..... I thinked that another program is consuming in the background so I switched the view
  method in the memory so every program is written in front of it the memory usage percentage and I was shocked when I saw that android studio is consuming about 70% !!!! so the computer is just using 2.83 GB out 8 GB of my memory !!!!

  I searched a little bit online till I found that i can see something called the physical available memory ... and the total physical memory

  A lot of articles online said that a part of your memory is being consumed by hardware parts like the graphics card ..... but not as much as mine

  I tried a lot of solutions but non of them worked in my case .... But I noticed Something a little bit weird .... every time I restart the device the physical available memory changes .... sometimes 6 sometimes 4 ... some times 1.5 !!!!!

High installed physical memory, very Low available physical memory

Got a new computer and my Installed Physical Memory (RAM) is 8.00GB whereas my Avaiable Physical Memory is 370MB.

I game on my PC and I am getting very low FPS with many lag spikes in all of the game I play, I'm assuming this is the problem, but if anyone notices anything in my specs that could be effecting my pc performance, id appreciate some help <3
