Windows 10: Low Brightness and Contrast when playing video

i,I've been using Windows 11 Home for a while now. My problem is it is always dimming whenever I play a video. I've tried playing it using Media Player, Movies & TV app, and even try Media Player Classic but all are dimming. I tried to play using Firefox browser and it plays normal. Can someone help me what can I do to play it normally using media player?Specs:CPU: Intel Core i5-13400FGPU: Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 6600Motherboard: MSI Pro H610m-GRAM: 32 GBHDD: 1 TBOS: Windows 11 Home 64bit Version 22H2 Build 22621.1702This is played using Media PlayerThis is using Firefox

I understand that the brightness and contrast are low in some applications;

Is your MSI computer a desktop or laptop?

Initially I recommend that you try to perform a clean installation of the NVIDIA drivers;

Download and run the latest driver package for your video card:https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.a...

Follow the onscreen instructions until you get the Installation Options window;

Select the Custom (Advanced) box and press Next;

On the next screen, you will be able to choose the components to install (all should be checked by default and if you're not sure, leave them that way);

In the Select driver component table, check the Perform a clean installation box and click Next;

Now download the Intel:registered: Driver & Support Assistant (Intel:registered: DSA) to check for updates for the Intel Integrated Video Driver:

Now check if the apps brightness is still low;

Very low brightness and contrast while playing video

Hi, I have been using Windows 11 for a while now and I have this annoying problem that has not been patched by updates. It was working fine a few weeks ago, but video in certain software (Microsoft software) appears with low brightness and contrast. This affects apps such as Movies and TV, the Office suite, Microsoft Edge etc., but VLC, Firefox, Chrome work fine.

My specs:

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

CPU: Intel Core i5

RAM: 8 GB

HDD: 1 TB

Computer Manufacturer: MSI

OS: Windows 11 Version 22H2 Build 22621.1

There is an attached photo with several apps behaving like this during video playback. Notice how some high contrast parts in the video appear as very dark gray, but everything else is just black.

Method 2: I suggest you to update the display drivers and check if the issue persists.

Steps to update the drivers for the Display Adapter.

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapter.
• Right on the Display Adapter and click on Update.
