Low CPU util on CPU-intensive games.

Hello! I came here to ask this question. Why is my CPU always on low utilization when I'm playing FH4 and any other high-graphics games? But whenever I'm using something like Blender or just playing lightweight games like Roblox, my CPU utilization is all the way at the max. It confuses me why my CPU is acting like this. I've already tried restarting my PC and increasing virtual memory. Here are my system specs : CPU : Ryzen 5 3400GiGPU : Vega 11 RAM : 32 GBOS : Windows 11 Pro

    :)

Extremely Low Cpu Usage While Gaming

Hello , sorry about your problems. My name is Marco and I will do my best to help you.

Low CPU usage while gaming can indicate a bottleneck in your system. A bottleneck occurs when one component in your system is not powerful enough to keep up with the others, causing the overall performance to suffer.

Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

-Check your task manager for other programs that may be running in the background.

Close any unnecessary programs or background processes to free up resources for your game.

    -Check your GPU usage.

Open the task manager or a program like MSI Afterburner while you are gaming and see if the GPU usage is high. If the GPU usage is low, it may indicate that the game is not utilizing the GPU effectively.

    -Check your game settings.

Lowering the game's resolution or turning off some of the more demanding graphics settings can help reduce the load on your CPU.

    -Update your drivers.

Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your GPU and CPU.

    -Overclocking:

If you have overclocked your CPU, try resetting it to its default clock speed.

    -CPU Cooling:

Check that your CPU cooling is adequate. If the CPU is overheating, it may throttle its performance to prevent damage.

    Hi sofi_,

It's not normal to have high CPU utilization even when idle. Kindly proceed with the suggested methods and let me know if it improves.

    CPU utilization in desktop

My CPU is 2% in idle, but my CPU utilization in 100% even on idle. Is it normal to have a high CPU utilization even if there are no apps running?

    CPU:2%

    CPU utilization: 100%

    Thanks, appreciate it.
