    Low Disk Space error due to a full Temp folder


    Hi,


    Recently had a problem with the temp folder filling up. I followed the directions on what to do to solve the problem. This exercise found another problem with a service registration, help msg 2182 error.     This seems to have solved my temp folder problem, however, I have noticed that I now have two Windows folders on my C drive - one called Windows and the other Windows.old which appears to be the original folder where the errors occurred. Is it safe to delete the Windows.old folder? It is over 50GB and I could use the extra space.

    I got lost after "Policies".I couldn't find Explorer.There's no low disk space checks.When I back click,there's no Advanced .I have an HP19 desktop with Windows 10 installed.Drive
    D is the recovery drive.

    I have a HP19 desktop.I keep getting an error that says low disk space on the recovery d drive.How do you fix this?How do you free up space or prevent the message from showing up ?This is what I did and I got lost:

    Windows temp folder filling quickly

    looks like that happened before...
    here is what MS forums suggests:

    reset the Store, clear the Store cache, and run the Windows Update troubleshooter.

    The temp folder provides work space for programs. Yes they can be deleted. We suggest that you follow the steps provided by Sangeeta Sarkar on how to delete Temp files on this

    link    . You may also type in the search box Disk Cleanup and hit enter. It will evaluate your disk and give you a list of folders sizes that can be deleted.
