Windows 10: Low disk space

Is there anyway to turn this notification off? Its getting annoying.

I have a computer with windows 8.1 license and upgraded to windows 10. After upgraded, the windows 10 eats lots of my space, the "Widows" directory size increased to 36 GB.





Now after I installed Android studio 2.0, my disk space is almost empty.

what to do to increase my space?

why the "windows" directory becomes very big?

 

Low disk space.

Might try Settings / System / Storage / Change how we free up space

check all those boxes and click CleanUp Now.

How many bytes are showing in temp files ?

 

Create a file with .reg extension with the code below:

Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoLowDiskSpaceChecks"=dword:00000001[/quote] save it to desktop. Double click to merge into the registry.
Or you can do it manually in the registry.

 

It would be better idea to empty some space on disk/partition or expand partition if possible. Lack of free space can produce many problems, specially with updates/upgrades.

 

You can use Disk Cleanup utility or CCleaner to clear up some disk space. Uninstall unnecessary applications. if all else fails you can try to increase the disk size by Disk Management or EaseUS Partition Master.
