Windows 10: low fps in games after os reinstall

As the subject says i have ben experiencing very low fps in games that i cold previously run at 60 fps before the os reinstallation. i am now just barely exceeding 10 fps in any game.

i hav reinstalled all the drivers, have checked the bios, have the newest windows version and updates


i am running an Asus fx553ve-dm131t with

an Intel cor I7-7700HQ @ 2.8GHz

graphics is intel HD graphics 630

and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

upgraded to 16 gigs of so-dimm 260 pin ddr4 memory in the fall of last year


if any of you got any idea of a solution to the problem it would haw ben greatly appreciated.

Windows 10 and LOW FPS in games

I suggest you to go into the games settings and check if the FPS is set to low. IF its low then change it into high.

Also see if the Monitor screen resolution matches the game screen resolution. You can check it by going into the setting of the game and check.

Low FPS in Gaming

Firstly, you may try to uninstall and reinstall the game and check if it helps.

If issue still persists, I suggest you to Uninstall and reinstall the Display driver in Compatibility mode and check if it works for you.
Refer to the steps below:

Follow the steps to uninstall the Display driver:

• Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand ‘Display Adapters’.
• Right-click on the Display Adapter listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.
• Select the option to Delete driver software.
• Restart the computer after its uninstalled.

Now download the drivers the manufacturer website and install it in Windows 8.1 compatibility mode. Follow the steps provided below to install the drivers in compatibility mode:

• Right-click on the driver and click on ‘properties’.
• Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for
