    My earphones works perfectly fine on my phone but when I plugged it in on my PC, it produces a very low volume sound. I tried re-installing Realtek, updating it and used the Windows 10 HD audio driver.My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2V.

    Low sound volume

    I had low volume on Win7, Win8/8.1 and Win10 using Realtek HD audio.
    Here is a fix that worked for me:
    Make SURE your Windows sound level is set to low before doing this!
    * Access the Realtek sound program
    * On a desktop pc the rear green connector is normally used. Right click the icon and you have 2 options:
    "New reassignment of contact/connector" or "sound settings" (or my english translation is a little off)
    * Choose new reassignment of contact/connector
    * Change from frontspeaker out to headphones
    * Click OK and you are finished.

    I can't guarantee that this will work for all of you, but I can no longer listen to music with audio settings at 100% because it is way to loud after doing this.

    Windows 10 - Realtek sound - Very low volume - Sound very quiet

    Hello,

    I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 with a clean install from DVD.

    Before I NEVER had any sound issues and I did not change anything to my PC/speaker hardware.

    But now the sound volume is extremely low! I can barely hear something.

    Already tried to:

    - Uninstall driver and use the Windows 10 built-in HD audio driver => did not help!

    - Uninstall driver and install latest driver from realtek website => did not help!

    - Uninstall driver and install some older realtek driver => did not help!

    - Open Volume Mixer and set everything to maximum (of course) => did not help!

    - Change sound quality to CD, DVD, 16 bit, 24 bit, different Hz, ... => did not help!

    - Attach and then detach headphones = did not help!

    Nothing helps! This is so annoying I am really going crazy here!

    My system:

    - Windows 10 Home 64 bit

    - 5.1 Sound system

    - Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Rev3

    What's wrong with Windows 10 and Realtek? I see a flood of threads on this issue (just google/bing for "Windows 10" and "low volume") but it seems no official from Microsoft is taking care of this issue?

    PLEASE MS PLEASE! FIX THIS **** ASAP!
