Windows 10: Lower audio pitch

My computer audio's been at a lower pitch across all playback devices. I've tried updating my audio drivers and troubleshooting audio, both did not fix the issue.

What is the Make and the Model of the Audio device?



I suggest you to try the following methods and check:



Method 1 : Hardware Troubleshooter.

Please follow the below step.

• Type "Troubleshooting" without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.
• Select "Hardware and Sound" from the Troubleshooter Window.
• Select "Hardware and Devices" under Devices option.
• Follow the On Screen instructions.

Method 2: Fix sound problems in Windows 10

Method 3: Install Generic Audio Driver.

• Type device manager into the search box on the taskbar, and then type Device Manager.
• Select Device Manager>Expand the Audio Driver.
• Right click on Audio device > Click on Update driver.
• Browse my computer for driver software.
• Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my PC.
  
  Choose to High Definition Audio Device.
• Click next and then follow the rest of the instructions to install it
• Restart the PC and check if the Audio works fine.

A player where I can speed up video without audio pitch change ?

No, VLC and the other players recommended above process the audio to lower its pitch in proportion to the increased speed of the video. No 'Chipmunk' effect, the net effect is that you hear the audio at its original pitch - but faster. Music is OK, at 2x but it gets difficult to take in the sense of speech heard at twice it's normal rate.

if this is a hardware or software issue, we suggest to perform the Windows Hardware Troubleshooter.

To access the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter, follow the steps provided below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in the Search bar and press Enter.
  
• Click on “View All” in the top left corner.
  
• This will display the list of troubleshooters which are built-in in the computer. You can click on Hardware and Devices from the list and you can run the troubleshooter.
