Windows 10: LP PLEASE... desktop icons smearing across screen

despite my best endeveaors, I have not been able to resolve this icon smearing effect problem, with my desktop icons, which has now gotten more dispersed over my screen, this glitch appeared while using file explorer in win 10, two yrs ago, I have since tried a number of options including that of icon resets, right back to back to a windows 10 system re-install, but to no avail, the problem remains, I would welcome any suggestions or advice from the community .. please see screenshot image upload below, I am unable to use my desktop for any download purpose, however, this problem does not aff

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

Hi Laurie,

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.

• Which build is currently running on your computer?
• Did you make any recent software changes on your computer?

As an initial step I would suggest you Right click on Desktop Window> View > Check Shows desktop icons, check if the desktop icons are back on desktop.

Check if the Icons or files are available in the My Documents>Desktop folder, check if icons are visible in the folder.
