  1. LSA Process Slowing Down Multiple Computers by Excessively Accessing Disk

I'm seeing this happen on 5 different Windows 11 computers on a small domain. All of the affected machines are the newest ones that came pre-installed with Windows 11. None of the older Windows 10 machines are affected and it looks like none of the machines that originally came installed with Windows 10 and then got the Windows 11 upgrade have the issue. The Local Security Authority Process is using the SSD more and more after boot until it gets to the point the user has to restart to make the machine usable again after a few hours. I've seen the access get up to 40MB/s in Task Manager.I've che

  2. Only windows processes/software/applications are slow

    Hi,

As per the above info, I suggest that you Run maintenance task checks issues that might slow down your computer's performance, such as how many users are currently logged on to the computer and whether multiple programs are running
    at the same time.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Press Windows + X on the keyboard.

    • Select Control Panel.

    • Select Troubleshooting.

    • Click on Run maintenance task under
      System and Security.

    Hope this helps

    Regards

    Excessive Number of Processes

    Hi.

I understand that there have been several threads that deal with this subject but none that I've seen help.

My laptop (specifically on my account) has become very slow, mainly in booting up. I have attempted to do all the normal things that people suggest to speed it up, but nothing seems to work. However, that's not necessarily what this thread is about. (Although, if anyone has any suggestions on this, then please let me know.) My question is, why are there so many processes running (or sometimes 'suspended') in the process list that (I think) shouldn't be there, such as 'Calculator', 'Feeds', 'Film & TV', Adobe updater and Macrium Reflect (I have these two installed, but I can't seem to prevent them from loading), Skype (this has never been used), 'Photos', 'PowerDVD RC Service' (this, I understand, is a Levono product, but again I can't stop it from loading), (loads of runtime brokers), and 'Your Phone'. None of these has been run up by me. There's a lot here (and more) that I don't understand why they are. None of them seem to be taking a significant amount of CPU or Disk use, but I can find no way to stop any of them loading. Most (if not all) of these processes are also on other computers of mine - including a virtual machine that, again, has significantly slowed in my account, in the past few months.

    Has anyone got any ideas.

Again, the speed of the start up is not the issue of this thread, although pointers to various other ways to improve this would be appreciated.

    LSA Protection

What I am seeing within the Core Isolation is the following

    1. Memory Integrity
    2. Memory Access Protection
    3. Vulnerable Driver Blocklist

Are all of the above parts of the LSA system? If so are all supposed to be toggled on?
