Windows 10: LSA still off on new PC after various fixes tried

    LSA still off on new PC after various fixes tried


    I recently got a new PC and kept getting the notification that LSA was off. I know there has been an issue where LSA is on but the notification says otherwise. I also read that you can check the events log under LSA to see if it is actually running or not, no events are listed and I see the word “disabled” above where the LSA events would be listed. I’m assuming LSA is in fact off because of this. I have tried all solutions in the link below with no effect. Even after applying all updates available, there still is no LSA toggle option under my security settings. Does anyone have any advice?htt

    Hello Kevin,

    This is a bug, but LSA is actually still running unless on a new install.

    You can verify that LSA protection is enabled by looking in Event Viewer using the information available here.

    You can use option 2 or 4 in the tutorial below to enable LSA again without the warning. Currently the LSA setting is missing in Windows Security since Build 22621.1635. We'll have to wait for a fix to get the toggle back in Windows Security.

    This is a bug, but LSA is actually still running unless on a new install.

    You can verify that LSA protection is enabled by looking in Event Viewer using the information available here.

    You can use option 2 or 4 in the tutorial below to enable LSA again without the warning. Currently the LSA setting is missing in Windows Security since Build 22621.1635. We'll have to wait for a fix to get the toggle back in Windows Security.

    LSA Protection

    What I am seeing within the Core Isolation is the following

    1. Memory Integrity
    2. Memory Access Protection
    3. Vulnerable Driver Blocklist

    Are all of the above parts of the LSA system? If so are all supposed to be toggled on?
