lsass.exe using excessive memory. Any fix?

Hello, I use Windows 10 Pro 64 bit with 8 gb ram. I am facing this problem from yesterday. This particular process named "lsass.exe" is using way too much ram. As you can see in the screenshots, it has the highest usage and a total of 66% of ram is being used whereas I used to get around 40% of use while using internet browsers. Steps I've taken to fix this so far-1. Scanned and cleared any possible virus or malware used Windows Defender, Malwarebytes2. Booted my computer in safe mode and ran a sfc/scannow from command prompt.3. Added exclusion from windows defender virus protection setting

    :)

  2. YourPhoneServer.exe - excessive RAM usage/memory leak?

I noticed yesterday that YourPhoneServer.exe is using excessive RAM, it appears to have a memory leak as the RAM use increases all the time.

Also, if I sign out of my PC or do a restart, I have to re-link the app for it to work again.

Last update of the app was March 6th

  3. Sasser worm, lsass

It actually detected a lot, but i believe it was a trojan who was attacking the "lsass" (it was actually from windows, the lsass)

This trojan was located in "C:/Windows/Temp/svchost.exe", i believe it was this.

Avg also detected a Adplugin, but i dont believe it was that.

lsass.exe using excessive memory. Any fix?

Win10 Regsvr32.exe memory cannot be read message

    Hi,

I suggest you to run Memory Diagnostic tool and check if it helps.

Memory Diagnostic tool is used to detect the possible memory problems.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Type Memory Diagnostic in the search area in the task bar and select
      Windows Memory Diagnostic.

    • Select Restart now and check for problem.
The error message that you received indicates there may be some memory issues with the system (mapping the memory).

Meanwhile, I suggest you to run System Maintenance troubleshooter to diagnose the exact issue ( slow internet etc.).

    • Press Windows key + W.

    • Type Troubleshooter in the Search box and hit enter.

    • Select System and Security.

    • Select System Maintenance under System options.

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
Hope this helps. Please get back to us if you need any further assistance.

    Thank you.
