Windows 10: lssas file in System32 disappearing

Hi, I had my pc screen go black and not turn off. I had to remove the power cable as a last resort. I opened the pc and checked task manager for suspicious files and i noticed lssas in their. It disappeared after a few seconds which had me suspicious. I then proceeded to do it again and same thing. Installed malwarebytes antivirus and nothing. I managed to get to its file location and it was in system32 and it stated it was using 87 kb of storage. It then proceeded after around 10 seconds to vanish along with the folder it was in! This seemed quite suspicious and now i have left the pcs power

okay ive done the same thing as you but i cant put the file back into the folder

• Copy nvlddmkm.sys in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_5518e59e8d3b48f4\ to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ and replace the existing one.

Downloaded files disappear


When you download a file through any browser, there's an option somewhere to 'Open Containing Folder.'

In Windows, to find a file you have downloaded...

1. Open your personal folder by clicking the Start button and then clicking your user name at the top of the Start menu's right pane.
   
2. Double-click one of the following folders:
   
   • Downloads
     
   • Documents
     
   • Pictures
     
   • Videos
     
   • Music

If you do not see the file you are looking for, but know its file name, you can search for it by following these steps:
To search for a file you have downloaded...

1. Click the Start button
   
2. Type all or part of the file name into the Search box.
   The file you are looking for will appear in the list of results.

 

My files have disappeared.

• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• May we know the location of the file folder that you created that disappeared?
• Have you tried using the Search box to search for the files that you made?
