  1. LUN partially showing on disk management while using iSCSi initiator with MPIO

while configuring Dell ME4 Storage on Windows Server 2016 with iSCSI initiator and MPIO, out of 20 LUNs 15 are only showing on diskmanagement. in the event viewer its showing error wirh event id 5 iscsiprt error failed to setup initiator portal. Windows 10 MPIO

I can't seem to find any information on whether Windows 10 Professional supports MPIO for iSCSI Initiators. I had it working under Windows 8.1 but now in Windows 10 everything seems greyed out. There is no info on TechNet or any other sources I can find.
Can anyone point me to some definitive Microsoft Answer?

external hard drive showing up in device management but not disk management

    Hi,

I recently tried to use a brand new Seagate 2TB External HD, but it is not showing up. It initially showed up, but after I tried reformatting it to exFAT32, it disappeared from the disk management list.

    I then tried:

    • refreshing the disk management list,
    • inserting into a different USB port,
    • re-starting my computer, and
    • uninstalling the device from device manager/letting it refresh,

I still can't see it. There is no yellow error in the USB controller list.

    I'm on Windows 10.

    Intel i5-3317U @ 1.7GHz

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

LUN partially showing on disk management while using iSCSi initiator with MPIO

"New Simple Volume" missing in Disk Management Console

I have just created a new iSCSI target on a Synology NAS and can connect to this via the iSCSI initiator in. I can then initialize the disk in the Disk Management Console, but I cannot create a volume, because the "New Simple Volume" choice is not available
for this disk. How can I add a simple volume to the iSCSI target?
