  1. M.2 Options not showing in BIOS, unable to install Windows

So I recently built a PC 7800x3d w/ 7900XT I went through all the normal setup and used my PC for two weeks with no issues. All of a sudden, I start getting Critical Process Died and other BSODs. Thinking my Windows may be corrupted, I do a clean reinstall and am able to use my PC for a while before it starts with the same BSODs. The cycle repeats itself. I think the issue stemmed from my PC automatically updating to Win11 24H2 or Armoury Crate. I rollback my Windows and enjoy my PC for another day. Then, it automatically updates again and it starts all over again. I’m unable to rollback in

M.2 SSD doesn't show up in BIOS, Windows Installer and Disk Management

This depends on where in the bios you are looking. I have a Gigabyte X470 board and in the drive list I only see my CDROM, but in my boot order I can select either of my two M.2 drives. Keep in mind that some M.2 will show up as they are SATA drives but most are NVMe drives. If you are still unable to select your M.2 drive as a boot option then you need to look into updating the BIOS of the board as some M.2 drives are not recognized in the early firmware for the X470 boards.

It is also worth noting that on most of the X470 boards the second M.2 slot is shared with the adjacent PCIe slot and if something is in the PCIe slot the M.2 port is inactive. As well some BIOS wont see an M.2 drive in the second slot if noting is in the first slot. Some BIOS updates have fixed this problem.

M.2 Disk not showing up in Windows

    Windows 11

    Motherboard: Gigabyte H610 S2H DDR4

    Disk: Kingston KC3000 1TB

I purchased a new M.2 disk. Initially, it was working fine, I formatted it, etc. However, when I was in the process of installing a Windows 11 setup from one of my pendrives, I couldn't see the disk as an installation option, and then it disappeared. It's still visible in the BIOS and Device Manager, but not anywhere else, like Disk Manager or Windows memory settings.

    I've already tried:

    1. Unplugging and plugging in the disk.
    2. Downloading drivers by selecting "Search automatically for updated driver software."
    3. Checking if the disk is correctly connected.
    4. Verifying if the disk is enabled in the BIOS (I don't have the option to enable/disable, but the motherboard manual states that only enabled M.2 disks show up).
