    Hi,

    I'd be interested to know the average temperature of that Samsung 960 card. My current Patriot runs at 60 degrees idling with a passive cooler so I'm eyeballing that 960 to replace it.

    I can't read the temp on mine. It's installed on a card. But, I don't think mine gets very hot. I've touched it after running all day and it barely feels warm at all. I have an unusual case, but it has a 200mm fan blowing down on the whole motherboard and 960. Maybe that makes a difference.

    I have a 960 evo, it runs upper 30s to 40 under load with Texas ambient temps

    Hi,

    OK, thanks guys.
    I use HWinfo64 to check the drive's temperature.
    Moved it to an ATX casing with much better (but noisier) cooling than the whisper quiet Fujitsu P956 and it now idles at around 40 degrees C which is much better than the 70 degrees C before.
