M2 Drives being seen in BIOS, but only one shows up in Windows 10

Replaced MB/CPU. New Board is an ASUS X299 Deluxe. In the BIOS I can see both the M2 Drives I've installed. IN windows only the 1Tb drive installed in the first M2 slot, while the 2nd 2Tb drive doesn't appear. I've upgraded to the most current Bios, and installed Samsung's NVMEe driver V3.1. Drive doesnt appear in device manager or admin tools disk management. Am Looking for suggestions, please and thank you.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

M.2 OS not always detected in bios

    Hi,

If the M2 is not showing up in Bios, it may have failed...

Or possibly a failure on your motherboard...

BUT... It may be that the m2 is not supposed to show... I installed a PCIe NVMe M2 on my machine and it does not show as an actual boot device in Bios...

What appears instead is "Windows Boot Manager" under Boot Options, which would be the M2 drive... This is with a machine running UEFI Bios...

If your machine is running Legacy Bios the M2 may not be functional at all...

That is something that varies a lot between M\B models and manufacturer's..

If you attach additional drives it can mess up your Boot Order to the point you need to change the settings in your Bios...
