  1. M2 SSD not being detected by bios

I changed motherboards and decrypted the my 2 M2 SSDs Samsung and Lexar . After porting everything over, I saw my Lexar SSD was still in decryption process. Afterwards, the message disappeared and I do not see the Lexar SSD in the diskmgmt and diskpart but can see that it is installed in the Bios

m2 SSD not detectable in BIOS

Hi there, I am an very enthusiast Techpower up follower, and I am always glad to read the daily news about hardware info
Its the first time I have to write here, because I really need help please.
I just bought recently my first m2 SSD, and as expected its not showing up on the bios unfortunetly.
Its about the 240GB from WD Green, and installed in my Asus Z97 ROG GeneVII motherboad, whereas the slot PCI-E X4 slot is designed strictly for m2 SSD's
Of course I updated my latest bios, which is 3003, and also run through the Front devices via bios where I set up PCI-E slot from Auto -> m2 mode.
After these settings, still no results. My Windows of course is W10, on a i7 4790
Does anyone had similar problems? Please let me know if Im missing something, I really like my new purchase and is the first time I possess and m2 SSD
    Thank so much!!
    Sebastian

How can an M2 undetected by the BIOS be detected by Windows 10?

Welcome to Ten Forums. I think it's the the other way round, it's SSD that's not showing. The model and serial number of the M2 in your photo is the same as the HDD2 in the bios screenshot.

    M2 SSDs

    Motherboard: Intel B560

    Processor: i511400

    OS: Windows 11

    SSD: Western Digital 2TB

Windows won’t recognize me M2 SSD and I’m not sure why, I went to disk management and nothing. I went to the BIOS and it’s not showing there either. I used the cmd tool and put in the command’ disk list’, to no avail. Everything is tight and secure but nothing is popping up. Please advise.
