Windows 10: macOS RDP client does not support interactive login

In reference to the macOS Windows RDP client, appending this line to a .rdp file: enablecredsspsupport:i:0 does not bring the expected interactive login screen as for the Windows native RDP client, which is very limiting for our application case.Is this inconsistent support of the RDP clients known and is there a workaround for the macOS and Linux client?Best,Sebastien

I can RDP to my Windows 10 laptop using MS client for macOS, but not from my other Windows 10 PC

As RDP from the macOS client is working perfectly, I can rule out RDP not being enabled on the target laptop, or firewall issues. What can it be? Why would the Windows RDP client be unable to connect when the macOS one is fine?

The failure occurs at random stages:

- usually I am challenged to log in

- then sometimes I'm asked to accept the certificate

- then the screen opens but is typically totally black

- then the "Reconnecting" dialog appears. Sometimes it goes away (like it reconnected, but remote screen stays black)

Both PCs have no problem connecting to other services, internet, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion - I've made a bit of progress but not by changing rendering options.

Instead, I realised the difference between my client PC and my client Mac is that the client PC is using wired networking, whereas the Mac is using wireless (as is the RDP service machine). So I disabled the client PC's wired connection and enabled wireless
instead, and now RDP works flawlessly.

 

SSH client/server? VPN? RDP?

Does the N900 have an SSH-client? Or can it run as SSH server?

Support for VPN?
