    Macrium Reflect Usage Guide:

Here is how to create a bootable Flash Drive and partition it to have a single USB Stick containing both the Macrium Reflect Rescue Disk and a Backup Image partition in that rescue disk itself. So if you have a large/fast USB Flash Drive, you can use it to both boot into the Macrium Reflect program without installing and use its second partition to create a backup image of your computer

What I usually do when I buy a new computer, the moment I turn it on and before even getting into the Windows setup wizard I boot straight away to the Macrium Reflect Rescue Disk, create a full backup of the local disk including all its partitions. That way I always have a backup of the untouched factory image should I ever need it in case I changed my SSD later or had an issue that prevents me to use the local restore option

    :)

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.

  3. Computer stuck in LIMBO, please help me (deleted all permissions).

    I would do this:

    1. Download & install the free version of Macrium Reflect, using a different PC.
    2. Create a bootable Macrium Reflect Rescue disk.
    3. Boot the problem PC with this disk.
    4. Create an image of your disk. Park the image on some backup disk.
    5. Check on a different machine if the data contained in the image disk is readable.
    6. Re-install Windows.
    7. Restore your data from the image you created in Step 4.

In this way you're guaranteed not to lose any data.

    Help!

As a first step I would salvage what you have like so:

    1. Install the free version of Macrium Reflect on a different PC.
    2. Use it to create a botable USB Rescue Disk.
    3. Use this disk to boot the problem PC into Macrium.
    4. Use Macrium to create an image of your disk. Park the image on an external USB disk.
    5. Connect the external disk to the other PC, then use the Macrium "Browse" function to examine the image. Can you see your various files and folders?
