Windows 10: Magenta Screen and unusable taskbar?

Hi! I recently updated my windows 10 because my previous version of windows 10 would not be supported in October.


When I first restarted my laptop it had a black screen, but after a few restarts I have finally made it past the black screen of death.


One problem though, I am unable to interact with literally anything. My screen has turned to magenta and the taskbar (is that what it is called?) has been rid of all of its applications and I can't open the windows tabs, the calender, notifications, nothing!


I can, however, right click my screen and the normal things show up the same way as if I right click on the home screen when you first log in.


Help?! Please bare in mind that I'm 15!! I need this laptop to keep up with GCSEs!! I'm in year 11 for gods sakes!!! I also do art GCSE! And doing digital work is going to boost my grade ! I'm worried that all of my documents have been deleted.


How do I fix this train wreck?

Printer Color Issues With Magenta

To have a better clarity on the issue and guide you accordingly, kindly help us with the following details:

• What is the exact model number of your printer?

• Are you aware of any changes that happened on the computer prior to which this issue started occurring?

The issue could be due to the dusty magenta toner mirror interfering with the color quality or the printhead failure. You may want to clean the mirror for magenta toner using a dry cotton bud and see if the color qualities are restored.
Please get in touch with
Contact HP Customer Support to know how to disassemble the product and locate the mirror for magenta toner.

If the issue persists and if the printheads were cleaned manually, I suggest you to clean the printhead several times from the setup to restore the color qualities.

Follow the steps listed below to clean the printhead:

• Press Setup on the printer control panel.

• Select Tools by using the down arrow button and press
OK.

• Select Clean Printhead by using the down arrow button and press
OK.

If that doesn’t fix the issue, wait for 30 minutes and clean the printhead again.

Windows 10 Taskbar sometimes on top of full-screen applications

I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
• In the search box, type Settings
  
• SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
• Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
  "(Recommended)”.

Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
• If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
  
• If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.

TASKBAR in the way SOLUTION


You can have your taskbar placed vertically to the left or the right of the screen.

Move the taskbar

• Right click in an unused area of the taskbar.
• Make sure that “Lock the taskbar” is unchecked.
• Left click and hold in that unused area of the taskbar.
• Drag the taskbar to the side of your screen on which you want it.
• Release the mouse.
