    Mail and calendar app now causes native calendar app to crash on every machine


    Well played Microsoft. There was an update in the past few hours to the mail and calendar app. As a result of which the calendar app is broken mail seems ok. It just crashes when being opened. Resetting the app makes no difference. I have observed this on all our home machines mix of windows 11 and windows 10. Do you need QA test these things first?

    By default, M&C app will install an outlook account according to your sign in. I sign into W10 with a non MS account "---@gmail.com" so my default account is listed like this, I can't seem to straighten it out/ delete/change it. Suggestions appreciated.

    Mail + Calendar Crashing


    Hi guys,

    After the newest windows 10 update (10586.22), my Calendar and Mail apps no longer open - they crash during the splash screen. I have tried restarting my computer multiple times, and used WSRESET as well. Neither have resolved the issue. The Calendar is essential to my daily life and there is no real alternative in the store. Is there a way to fix this or to re-install the Calendar and Mail apps? I've seen threads about using Powershell to uninstall the apps, but I've also read that using it to reinstall the apps actually end up breaking apps post-november. Any insight would be helpful!

    EDIT: Just used ccleaner to uninstall mail + calendar, and reinstalled via Store. Same problem (crashing on splash screen) persists. *Sad

    Mail/Calendar App !: Although I have reported this before the problem is still there! I have used the Mail/Calendar app for a long time now and think it's great when it's working OK!!! At least once a week I either have to reset it, uninstall and put back or remove my email account and put back....
